Defra Survey to civil 3d import

Hello all,

At the moment, I am attempting to utilize the DEFRA data services provided by the UK on the following link....

Defra Survey Data Download

 

This gives the following files.....

Now I am stuck as I have attempted to create a surface from the .tif file type but it wont work! anyone smarter able to help?

This should be a Grid surface, not a TIN surface. 

 

Also, with DEM/TIF, they use the same dialog. It might be looking for DEM and not showing your TIF. Change the Files of Type setting at the bottom of the dialog.

 

Have you assigned a Coordinate System to your drawing? If you do, Civil 3D will read the tfw file and know where to place your surface.

Please provide more details on "it wont work!" What are you doing and what is, or isn't, happening?

I wasn't able to find your exact data set, so I just grabbed a tile. Try this, and if you still aren't successful, let us know where things went sideways.
