Data Shortcut Working Folder Within ACC

I am setting up a new project and utilizing ACC. I have my project template set up, and I have associated the file with the Working Folder so all files created will already have that connected.

The problem I'm running into is that when others use the template, it's not looking for the Autodesk Docs:\ folder, but instead my local version: C:\Users\farnswoA\DC\ACCDocs\RS&H

Thankfully, the data shortcuts do seem to pulling from the cloud version, but is each user going to have to set the Working Folder for every file they work in? Is there something I've setup incorrectly that would point only to the cloud location and not my local cache?

In fact, you don't actually work directly with files in the cloud. Files will be downloaded from the cloud to your local folder and as you work and save those files, they will be automatically synced to the cloud. And yes, if each user works every file but it does not link the correct Working Folder, they need to Set Working Folder themself because you only directly work the file in your local folder, not on the ACC cloud.

I appreciate the information! It seems inefficient to have user names in the path, so that everyone would have to set their own, but it is what it is, it seems.

Can you confirm with the latest version update to the Autodesk Desktop Connector, user paths are superseded by the common path C:\ADC? Does this fix the issue of all users maintaining the same path relative to their local path?

C3D is not designed to work with ACC directly. It relies on cached copies of files and Desktop Connector (DC) to sync files to ACC. It's why there are issues with sheet sets + C3D and it doesn't support pipe & pressure catalogs. DC handles the pathing of files and such.
