Custom Structure Not Showing Up in Model Space

I have created a custom structure object using Part Builder. The part validates, the test report shows no errors, and inside part builder I can change the various parameter values and the 3d object (modifier) acts correctly. However, whenever I add that part to a pipe network there is no 3d model of the part. The part is in the drawing and the structure properties shows all the info, but the actual model of the part is not in the model space.

Here is the part in part builder. The highlighted object is the 3d solid that should be the part showing up in a drawing. I have set the Autolayout Data placement point to the fixed center point of my centerplane where the model is anchored.

Here is the part when placed in a pipe network. No object is shown in the model space, but the object exists in the prospector, pipe catalog, and even the structure properties for it. I put a null structure with the same Standard style to show that it's not a style issue.

What could be going on? It's probably something simple, but I can't find what's causing it to not work.

After messing with the part for the past few hours, I've found that I can get it to display by making the Structure Shape into a Box, or Sphere, or Cylinder. If I leave it to the Undefined one, the part won't show up. However, there's still a display problem where the Structure shape is not matching the 3d solid. Below, you can see the structure part in plan view along with the structure in in the object viewer. The structure boundary doesn't match the boundary shape of the actual 3d solid. How can this be fixed?

Thank you for your recent forum post.  My name is Sean and I am more than happy to help you with this issue. I understand you are creating parts using AutoCAD Civil 3D Part Builder and your results are not what you are expecting and the part is failing to function correctly. I do apologize for the inconvenience and I am more than happy to help. Can you provide the files you are working with?

I have subscribed to the thread though and will continue to monitor it should you need additional assistance. If you would like to communicate directly, you may do so at any time by sending me a private message in the forum.

I wish I had an answer for you, but there isn't one. I had to give up because it's related to bugs with PARTBUILDER that haven't been fixed in over a decade. Autodesk doesn't care about their broken C3D systems because everyone who originally created them has left Autodesk.
