Creating Linestyles with no extra Dash

Hello, online chat forum. I create a line-style for my company to use when designing roadways. I understand the spacing items on a basic level; if i need a 10' dash and 30' use code +10, -30. However, I see that the line generation adds a extra dash length at the beginning and end of poly-line.

Is it possible to remove or change the properties/commands for this additional dashing? Would you need to revise the line-style again to add different codes to beginning and end of poly-line?

It seems that it takes the first draw length, splits for the beginning and the end if the line if a line will end with a gap.

I don't know of a way to turn this off.
