Hello,
Is there a way that I can make isopach maps? I've made loads of isochore maps with ease (just throw an elevation analysis on a volume surface).
What I need to know now though is when the thickness of an area (perpendicular to the strata) is > 1'.
I feel like this is impossible with the C3D tools, but I'm hoping that one of the smart people here on the forum can prove me wrong.
Thanks for any ideas!
P.S.
If it affects the solution (though I don't think it will), I don't need to make an exhibit. I just need some way to quantify the volume of cut, but only counting areas where the depth (perpendicular to the strata) is >1'. Right now, I am resorting to a hand calc estimate by looking at each section, drawing a polygon around areas that meet my criteria, and doing an average end area calc.
P.P.S
Here are some links on isopach vs isochore maps if you want to learn more about the differences.
