Create points with horizontal, vertical, and slope distance

I've been searching the reference materials this morning but haven't hit on the answer just yet. Our field crew had an equipment failure last week wherein the instrument and data collector quit talking to each other. The best available course was to record data straight off the instrument, and now I need to convert to points. I have multiple data sets with two known points, rod heights at those points, and then horizontal and vertical angles and slope distance.

It seems like there may be a solution utilizing the fieldbook, but I'd be open to mechanical steps if the simplest path is through direct entry. We have about 60 points recorded in this fashion, and so it won't be the end of the world.

Thoughts, suggestions, and/or effective training links will all be welcome.NOTES.jpeg

Michael,
Last time I had to manually calc points from notes was with LDD. Easy. Civil 3D? Not. Easiest way I could find was >>>Here<<<. If that doesn't do it for you, then you'll need to use the >>>Survey Tab/Survey Language<<< route.

For me the most easy(and stupid way) will be to make excel table and calculate coordinates atleast you can spot quickly when make error

If you familiar with Fieldbook Language then it would be a simple way of getting the data in the drawing. But there is a way to create the data using the survey tab and a survey database entering the Instrument coordinate point and Backsight point and then entering the angle right, slope HI, HR etc.... to prove with the point location and elevation.

Another not so friendly way is to use the survey tab, create a database and a network. You can then add setups and observations.

Michael,
As for me, and many would disagree, I think anything involving Fieldbook Files, Survey Language, or anything on the Survey Tab is UTTER TORTURE!
I would go with Create Points >> Manual >> 'SS >> P and use my trusty Construction Master Calculator to calc Horizontal Distance and Elevation from Vertical Angle and Slope Distance. That's just me.

Oh I agree! I knew I wasn't getting any likes for suggesting to use the survey data base. 😊

you can tell @Pointdump is a surveyor by the extra target he carries with him.
