create feature line from profile

Hello Everybody

we know that if we have a surface and alignment  we can 

produce a profile and this profile represent the z and the alignment represent x,y and surface represent x,y,z

my question is there is any way to invert the 

procedure and make a linear surface "feature line"  from a profile  and alignment

When I did this I was disappointed to notice that the resulting feature line does not retain the curves of the vertical and horizontal alignments. Instead it is comprised of straight segments. Is there a solution to this shortcoming?
