crash on large selection

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi all,
I am trying to clean up a drawing of contours I receive from a client. There are many duplicate entities and I have used express tools "overkill" and also "mapclean". I have tried this on the entities as is and after exploding them. I have also tried mulit-pedit on these entities. In all cases I get access violation errors during the selection process. BTW: I used "enditall" so nothing else was running on the machine. I am running on a DELL 670 w/4gb mem. Fire GL V3100 graphics card w/cert. drv.
I saved the file to acad 2000 format and took it home to my home built 2.8ghz machine 2gb mem and nvidia 5900 card running acad 2000 and I had no problems.
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

You didn't mention it, so I have to ask: AUDIT?
