Corridor - Targeting Issue

Hello All,

I'm working on a road reconstruction job for the north end of a street using corridors. Originally I had planned to match to both the grades along the existing buildings on one end and match to the existing ground along the centerline of the road. However, I've recently changed the grading limit so that it should be matching to existing ground a meter away from the proposed curb instead of the centerline. After updating this, the corridor for a solid 20 meter distance of the R.O.W. does not target the original ground. Before and after this stretch, the corridor has interpolated everything properly and I've tried everything to fix this issue but I'm not sure why nothing is solving this issue.

Any information would be helpful.

Thanks!

Select the corridor, right mouse click and select Corridor properties, inside of your Parameters tab, have you set the right "target" in your baseline and/or Regions?

Is that image from an area in between corridor sections?

Tin surfaces can do all sorts of things between sample lines, whereas from one corridor section to the next is always a straight line.

Yes, I have the proper targets set for this section. This stretch of the road isn't very long, it's only around 150 m. So I'm only using one corridor and region for the whole thing, the same target throughout. However, it only misses the target on the R.O.W. in the middle, everything before and after was created properly using the targets I've already set.

I took a look at the corridor section and the corridor is matching to existing. But the sample sections isn't matching what the corridor section is doing?

Have you tried changing your frequency for that region?  I would trying lowering the numbers to see if it helps. If its on a curve or vertical curve don't forget to change those frequencies too.

I've tried different frequency values, it hasn't fixed the issue.

Check your corridor properties, tab for tab.

Parameters, is the BL and/or RG using the correct Assembly and/or Profile?

Surfaces, Boundaries tab etc...

Actually, we found the issue. Everything regarding the corridor setup was correct. The problem was with the OG surface, the surveyors shot shots along the road every 10 meters except for that portion where the next shot was 25 meters. I swapped the edge so that there wasn't one long TIN line between the 25 meters and that seemed to fix the issue with the sample sections.

However, when I looked at the corridor sections at the same stations where the sample sections were off and the corridor in the corridor sections matched to existing. As well as when I put surface labels at those stations, the proposed grade (corridor surface) matched to existing. The issue was only in the sample sections. If anyone has any ideas why that would happen, that would be appreciated. But this issue has been solved.
