Hi,
>> Please help me to create corridor and Target
Is your screenshot a finished section in Civil 3D or just a screenshot of some objects how it should look like in Civil 3D
It is hard to help as we don't see what you have already done.
If you already have done some work in your project then please show us where you are and what is the specific situation or question(s) you are struggling with now.
Always worth to look into: start the Civil 3D help, there you find great tutorials (with videos), go through them >>>click<<<

I need to Calculate Cut and Fill Volume , i have Desing Road Layout & Typical Cross Section,
When i Create Cooridor, having problem with target
Hi,

Hi,
>> I need to Calculate Cut and Fill Volume , i have Desing Road Layout & Typical Cross Section,
There does not exist a surface (existing ground) in your drawing, so there is no chance for calculating cut/fill (nothing exists to fill onto and nothing exists to cut in).
First you need a surface, then you can create surfaces based on your corridor then you can calculate the difference between two surfaces.
I'm not sure to see all from your drawing as I get the message that makros are missed with my German Civil 3D 2016, maybe you are using subassemblies I don't have.

I have a problem only in Corridor other works i can do.....this project arround 50 KM, all roads are same ( as attached typical cross section) due to file size i not appload full drawing. if you can create assambly & corridor only fo this i can follow for all project.
thanks in advance.
Hi,
>> I have a problem only in Corridor other works i can do
Is it the caluclation of cut and fill which is the problem or what is the problem exactly.
Cut and fill only works with a surface below.
If it's the display from top view to the corridor (like your third screenshot) with some crossings from outer border to some edge inside, then I'm sorry, as my Civil 3D is missing something from the subassemblies you are using I can't really help, maybe the following statements are not correct within your installation of Civil 3D.
What I see: when I look to the corrdidor properties tab "Parameters" ==> Frequency ==> add the checkmark for property "Offset Target / At offset target geometry points". So whenever your target has a corner (which I would avoid if possible) within the corridor this postion is added as (internal) corridor section for calculation.
If the above suggestion is not helping then:
Within corridor properties tab "Parameters" ==> click on button "Set all Targets" ... and now remove the width target for subassembly "P_L" ... and you'll see (after regenerating the corridor) that the peaks from outer edge to an inner edge are gone ... I guess that is what you are looking for, am I right?
In that case see how to modify these feature lines (which were removed for this test) so the resulting corridor builts well.

I Checked as per your advice no change same thing comeing......
Please Refer Image I need cross section and corridor as per this
Hi,

And can you please show the screenshots what you get instead? Same objects in the screenshot so we see the difference between "I need" and "I get".

Hi,
hard for me to work with English content/styles/codes and German Civil 3D.
So I did some codes new and hope you find out what I was doing.
First at all I built a minimal assembly showing the parts lane/parking/sidewalk with own codes (hopefully easy to understand) and a second assembly where the lane-exits are placed.
Then I created feature lines from the beginning to the end for each part (lane/parking/sidewalk). I always create the feature lines from start to end to have the destination points defined for the complete corridor and not just parts of it (one of my personal rules as I avoid a lot of conflicts).
At least the corridor is created with sections before and after the exits using main assembly and in the stations of lane exits using the other assembly, assigned the width-destinations and that's what you can see in the drawing attached.
So all the lane/parking/sidewalk borders are working well.
Only the small sections/transitions between the different assemblies have to be worked out, but that can be done when the roads at the exits are designed.

Thanks....Boss
I will Study one by one what you did. i have to redo my self... thanks....
Hi,
great, good to know you got it working in your project/with your assemblies, codes, styles, ....
Have a great day, - alfred -
Hi ,
you done a great job , but I'm trying to model my corridor but something missing can you guide me !!
How to model the corridor form beginning.
Thanks,
Hi,
>> How to model the corridor form beginning.
there are so many tutorials and videos showing what's needed to create a corridor and how you can create one.
