Corridor Curb Return modelling

I am struggling to create a curb return on my intersection and I have tried it so many times it is not coming out well.
I need help on this.

Thanks.

HI @oguntugasamuel

Can you share your file to take a look?

10 times out 10 the issue is related to targeting. was road3 done with the wizard? What was added to the corridor properties?

Check all targets

I personally don't use the intersection wizard. I find it a bit unreliable. Have you drawn offset alignments and connected alignments?

No I haven't, as I said from my post, I am a starter and I was just following the instructions from the training I had which is by using intersection to design the curb return, however, I have seen videos on using the connected alignment but I have not yet that before.

Though, I have my offset alignment for the road width but not the connected alignment

I will be glad to do so.

Thanks a lot sir.
I will review all the targets and see if they're all targeting there respective targets.

Note: I am still an amateur on this and willing to learn.
Thanks once again.

Hi @m_kingdon , you don't use the wizard to create corridors, or you don't use it at all? How do you ensure the intersecting profiles match elevations? I despise the wizard but it seems there's no other way to lock the profiles together

You can add crossing on the target profile or superimposed. I use this option before I known about using intersection

You can manually lock pvi in the layout profile editor. the accurate locking pont can be done with cogo projection

Here's a blog post I wrote several years ago. It goes step-by-step through the workflow for creating an intersection manually, without Intersection Wizard.

True, but that isn't dynamic to the intersecting profile, is it? I want the side road to update when I revise the primary

I am sure you do want dynamic, but I was answering post #9.

The Wizard isn't as bad as it is cracked up to be. Especially for the geometry in your original post. There isn't anything unusual to it and the wizard should do it easy-peezy.

By the way, the wizard only wants ONE layout profile per alignment. So, if you have more than one the wizard may have a hissy fit
