Correct Grading Optimization Workflow

Hello

I’m trying to get the right steps in creating a pond with Grading Optimization Civil3D  in my mind, with the information/constraints that I have. I’ll try and use the correct wording, but English isn’t my native tongue, so feel free to ask what I mean by something. I’m used to creating a pond with grading tools, but hoping I can get something good out of Grading Optimization.

I have the general area for the pond based on the terrain. I know the elevation for each level in the pond, which need to be fixed (bottom 42.6, permanent 43.6, storage 44.8), I know the volume needed and the slope (1:5 (20%)on everything inside the basin and 1:4 between the top of basin and existing terrain). I also have an outer boundary I would like to keep the pond inside. I’ve tried illustrating it with a pond I created using Grading Tools, however I would like to create an "optimized" version of the same pond.

My biggest issue is fixing the elevation levels, so any help on a workflow for creating this would be much appreciated. I’ve added a screenshot of the pond created with grading tools.

I am not sure if these links will work for you, but these are Autodesk University classes that have helped me out. I am still trying to learn how to use this tool.
