Hi dear Civil 3D Forum,
I know there are different ways to assign coordinate systems in civil 3D.
For my current project I have taken the most common way:
1.- Drawing Settings:
> In Toolspace, select Settings Tab
> Right-click on the DWG name
> Select Edit Drawing Settings
> Select a projection and coordinate system on the first tab of the dialog
However, I noticed that through this method, the local and grid coordinates from my
reference point are reversed.
In the following link I read about Transformation Settings:
"The zone transformation settings do the following:
- Relate local coordinates to grid coordinates by transforming distances measured on the Earth (or geoid) to distances on an ellipsoid.
- Relate distances on the ellipsoid to the flat plane (projection) of the current zone’s grid coordinate system."
Am I right when I say:
Geographic Coordinate Systems > must be displayed in "Local Coordinates"?
Projected Coordinate Systems > must be displayed in "Grid Coordinates"?
Do I have to change that manually?
I want to link my DWG File and use shared coordinates in Revit:
But at the moment I can not do it because of this issue.
I look forward to hearing from you.
