Hi Brains Trust,

I have a project that you'd normally make with a single alignment, but the client wants there to be two distinct alignments (and hence two profiles).  Imagine a straight road that is made up of two alignments that are perfectly tangential and that's what we have.  Is there a way that the profile on the end of the first road can "control" the start of the profile on the next road.  A bit like on intersections but when we do those we have two roads that are perpendicular(ish) to each other but in in this case they are parallel.  So far my workflow is just to ensure that the profile on the second road has the same starting RL and grade of the first road (I picked a location without a VC).

 Is there a better workflow?

How about an offset alignment with a 0 grade profile.

Hi @steve_davidson

I totally agree with @Jeew-m

But what is the reason behind "splitting" your road in two alignments?

Are you sure that the client requested?
