COMPARING POINTS TO SURFACE

Is it possible to generate a report comparing the point elevations of one surface to the elevation of the surface either above or below it?  I'm hoping it is something I haven't found yet and not an add on.

For comparing two surfaces, the easiest is to create a tin volume surface, the elevations of which will represent the difference between the two.  

This doesn't line the points up exactly.  If you needed to do this, I would probably create a point group to represent all the points in surface 1 and use project explorer to compare to another surface.

You can extract points from a surface fairly easily, as long as the points are displayed in the current style.
