Command line window display

Is there a command to change the number of lines displayed in the command line window.

It is now only displaying one line, which is useless. I had it set for 3-4 lines, but for some reason it has reset to only one line.

I don't particularly want to have to go through the head ache of resizing the windows due to the dual screens.

I just grab the top of it and drag it taller.

Or

Press F2 and it will temporarily open up to 10 or so lines

yes f2 does work but is just temporary.

I want the command line to show 3-4 lines all the time. It is handy to have when measuring or obtaining curve data.

You should be able to grab and drag the command line to as many lines as you like. If you can't drag it try setting the variable LOCKUI to 0 and then drag it.

You need to go to your workspace settings and select the save radial button

Well I am just guessing here but it appears from the responses that there is no actual command to just say I want 8 lines or 2 lines.

Its really a lot of work shuffling things around with the autocad window streatched across two monitors.

was just hoping for a command that would reset the command line window size based on the number of lines I want displayed.

Is supposed to do it.  It doesn't do anything on my 2020 version.

Sad to say but that command also doesn't work in 2018 even if I unlock everything.

Guess I will do it the hard way. Thanks for the help.

I'm not a fan of messing with user interface customization since it is so easy to mess it up, but ...

CUI

Select your workspace on the left.

On the right side, in Workspace Contents, Palettes, select Command Line. You can adjust the size there. Not sure exactly how this works, but you might give it a shot.

I feel your pain, by the way. There used to be a setting in OPTIONS. I always kept it at 4 so I could use the DIstance command and not have to hit F2. And for listing curves for subdivision plat data, etc. It's nice how it pops up with the data now, but it disappears too quickly.

in CUI as described above, I set Allow docking to Yes, docked it, dragged it up, and so far it is sticking. I even closed and opened Autocrud and it still stayed at 4 lines. Setting the size in CUI didn't do a thing for me.

Yes that is what I have done.Although it has been changed. Think I know who it is that changed it.

I have manually resized the command window and saved to my work space settings under a back up name.

Thanls for all the suggestions.

Yes! This worked!! Thank you, I just set the height to 1 and it deceased the CL output to 2 lines and it docked it under the Home ribbon. Now I can see a lot more of my viewframe.
