Check the Point Group Properties. Set the needed style on the Information tab and then check the Overrides tab. Be sure you specify your styles here, too. Of course, check the layer to be sure it's on and thawed.

Lastly, this could be caused by your Point Group display hierarchy. If a group that is set to no display (and includes all points) is above your group in the display list, yours won't display. You can check layers until you're blue in the face...

Hi Jaikaran,
In addition to the excellent advice from @tcorey, check to see if the points are being created. Right-click _All Points and click "Edit Points...". That will tell you if you have a creation problem or a display problem.

It goes through the motion and ask me all the questions, which I answer, but it does not create a point

Jaikaran,
How about some screen shots of how you are creating points? Or detailed step-by-steps.

ok, my main points file is at the top of the list, then I select points - point creation tools - create points bar comes up, I then select manual at the extreme left and it ask for a location, then a name, then a description and then an elevation but it does nothing after that

Jaikaran,
"...then a name, then a description and then an elevation..."
A screen shot please. Click the chevron and expand the Points Creation section. "Name" is usually <None> by default.
Your command line should give you a Northing and Easting if the point creation was successful. Copy/Paste your command line after an attempted point creation.

Hi, I just wanted to share my findings. I found out that the reason the point was not creating is because I have to change "Point Identity" Next point number to the next number to be used in my file list

Jaikaran,
OK, good to hear! So the next number was already in your All Points? Go ahead and mark your post as the "Solution".

This issue happens to me constantly. I change the point number to one far from any existing point (example: say points are sequentially 15501 etc... I change it to 25000) and starts creating them. Would like a simple answer why this happens from Autodesk.
