Civil3d 2025 turnouts catalog - Portuguese

Hi.

I was tryingo to do something in modifying a turnout catalog, to adapt it to Portuguese Turnouts. Usually they have a Vossloh Cogifer geometry.
I think the method to create or to enter data to a turnout too much complicated. I understand that autodesk try to put everething in that. As exemple bending. also are very glued to french schemma. 

There are two main aproaches to this, design a simple "block" like the schematic traingle where tem main dimensions and exit angle are the essencial - For layouts and early studies.
Or design everithing, like Autodesk tries to do, includin ties, bending and i dont know what more.

Already see the docs from Leyra Castellanos tha tries to explain something. What left i think is a "try to not touch that" for everybody unless you are from countries where the catalog exists. 

As example i was trying to put this simple Turnout.AMVTg011.jpg
The main dimensions 35622mm 16938mm 18684mm inicial curve 300m clothoid 21776mm exit curve/clot 400m and gauge 1.668m and of courge turnout angle tg0,11.

After multiple tries cannot put this working.

I understant parcially the flow of the two jason files. But people need to invest a lot of time on that.

Can give us any help or sugestions?

Is not possible to create a simplified schemma and one other more complete?


Another question. Here ususally the axis is not calculatet inside the turnouts. As example if you have a side line with two turnouts on main line (entry and exit) the axis of parallel line should not be calculated inside the turnouts. I did not found a way to this. Find a mask on the labels, by the axis is always calculated with the internal geometry of turnout (as seen before is difficult to reach or does not match country standards).

Your suggestion of supporting two different workflows is very interesting:

a simplified definition for conceptual design and layout studies, requiring only the key geometric parameters (such as turnout angle, lengths, radii, and gauge); and

a full engineering definition for users who need complete turnout geometry.

As for your second question, the current track axis calculation follows the internal turnout geometry. At the moment, there is no option to define the parallel track axis independently while still using the turnout solely as a connection element.
