Civil3d 2016 to 2018 Data Shortcuts

Hi -

We are getting updated from 2016 to 2018. We have a couple big projects that incorporate data shortcuts.

Is there anything we need to be aware of with the transition to 2018? Will the data shortcut transition be seamless?

Any feedback and/or advice would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Ron

It is mostly seamless; caveat if you are using point clouds in 2016 that feature has been removed in 2018. A surface made with point clouds in 2016 will still work in 2018, you just have to make certain that the source drawing for the point cloud surface is never opened in 2018.
