Civil 3d to AutoCAD users

I am currently using Civil 3D 2016 and my work collueges are using AutoCad 2015 and 2016. I usually do the design work and pass it on to an autocad user.

Is there a way that my autocad users can open my Civil 3D work without me converting it?

I thought Civil 3D and AutoCAD was compatable with each other without have to convert my work evreytime. Does the autocad user have to install an add on?

Have your AutoCAD user install the Civil3D object enabler. The AutoCAD users can then see your Civil objects (but can't modify them).
