Civil 3d text styles

Creating a new UKIE template for 2018 to change to STB (as part of a refresh of company cad standards than I am carrying out)...

Does anyone have any idea what is using text styles;

  • S4
  • Monotext
  • Notes

They are in the UKIE OTB template so aren't anything I've added. I've used the sincpac tool to make sure no civil 3d objects are on these styles.

Thanks in advance

That template has a lot of basic AutoCAD blocks that may be referenced into styles. I did a quick check going through the block editor and found one in a couple of minutes that uses the Notes Style. My guess is that's where you'll find the others.

I examined the DXF Export in a Texteditor. This is sometime faster, than examine Blocks individually.
Simply create a new file from "_AutoCAD Civil 3D 2018 UKIE.dwt" and export it to DXF. Then open the DXF in a Texteditor (Notepad.exe) and search for text-style names like "S4". I have found, that this style is used in the Block definition "Water Valve" and "Gas Valve". If you change the Style inside these Block definitions, you can purge the Style afterwards.

Yep as other's have said you'll more than likely find them inside blocks in your drawing. Those and a couple others have been around for 30+ years dating all the back to the softdesk days.... (OOP showing my age) Smiley LOL
