Hey Everyone,

I have been dealing with a minor annoyance in Civil 3D that accurse once or twice a month. Without warning, Civil 3D will stop recognizing keyboard input and shorthand commands, other then basic windows commands (ex: Ctrl+Shift+S for Save As). Every time it does happen, I have to restart Civil 3D to fix it.

Does anyone know why this happens, and if there is a way to fix the issue? Like I mentioned, it is a minor annoyance, but it would be nice to eliminate the issue if possible.

If you have multiple drawings open, it could be that the command line in one of the other drawings has become the active command line. Switching drawings and then back again usually works for me.

@MMcCall402 happened to me in 2024 today - very irritating and I wish they'd find a fix for it.

I set LEVELOFDETAILOFF in each drawing after it loads, and I haven't had anybody report this issue to me yet.

After seeing your post, i have set levelofdetail to off. I will give that a try for now. If it doesn't work, then I will try something new.

That's annoying. ... I'm struggling the a properties palette the size of a postage stamp and it wont resize

I'm having the same issue (and others... screen goes blank, can't select). It becomes more frequent in certain dwgs. I'm working with our reseller to troubleshoot it but they're at a loss.

Tried working off one monitor, alternative graphics drivers, running updates, wblocking dwgs and auditing etc. with no luck.

Civil 3D 2022.2.5

Win 10 pro
