Civil 3D Rail Module 2019

Where can I download the rail module?  I cannot find it on the desktop app.  I have a project I need to finish up and run some corridors with turnouts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @azuendt and welcome to the forums!

If I'm not mistaken it should install by default with Civil 3D 2019. In your Toolspace click on the Toolbox and you should see the Rail Turnouts and Crossing tool.

Please click on the Accept as Solution button if my post answers your question or solves your issue. Please reply with additional information if you're still running into the issue.

i do not have 2019 but in 2018 update 2, the rail features are under toolspace>toolbox>misc tab. the only tools available are laying out turnouts and crossovers, and creating tables. i recently finished a rail project where i had to set up all the corridors as i usually would for roadways, but using the rail subassemblies available here:

Does 2019 have any special features for creating rail corridors?

Hi @azuendt ,

If you are using Civil 3D 2019, then please download the latest Civil 3D update. Get 2019.2 at a very least.

See guide image below.

@Hidden_Brain   2019 got better workflow compared to 2018.2

See youtube <Link 1> and <Link 2>

Cheers,

Jowenn

Hi @azuendt,

It looks like you received quite a few good suggestions on here. Did one of them end up answering your question? If one (or multiple) did, can you please click the Accept as Solution button so that other users that run into the same issue can quickly navigate to the solution?

Thanks!

Make sure you have selected the right Workspace ie Civil 3D or Civil 3D rail instead of default "Drafting and Annotation"
