Civil 3D not drawing pipe network?

Hi

When I create a pipe network by layout, the network objects exist but do not show in my drawing? Why?

Cheers

Derryck

Whew...that's a question with a few possible answers.

When you say they exist, how have to determined this? Has it created a list of structures and pipes in the network? Have you gone into either the structure list or pipe list for any of the networks and tried zooming to one of the entities?

My guess is if you thaw all your layers and turn them all on, it will be there. Layer 0 perhaps?

Sorry I sorted the problem out. However, my structures and pipes are massive?

Are your pipe styles set to a style that does not display?

I'd be interested to know what the problem was...

So, can you post the drawing?

I had a similar problem on 1 project several months back.

an EIT (eingineer-in training) was assigned to design the wastewater and water system for a subdivision

i was designing the streets and storm sewer.

seems the EIT did not like "being useful" and switched the water and wastewater style names, at 4:58 pm.

(this was before a long holiday weekend and the EIT was not going to be available to work)

so i come in on saturday to finish the water and problems.

use pipe networks to add a pipe the the water drawings and get nothing but labels . . . .

after thawing every layer, it became very apparent what the EIT had done.

check the styles and be sure the layers are correct.

Conclusion:

the EIT went to the wrong college and studied the wrong subjects.
