Civil 3D Grading - excavation

Hello,

does anyone know if there is a way to change an existing excavation like on an attached PDF file? Instead of flat surfaces, i would like to have the ones drawn with the red lines.

I tried to attach 3D polylines to surface, it doesn't work that way.

Also tried to create feature lines from 3Dpolylines and create grading from them, the results were not good.

Can anyone help me with this, please?

You have to create feature line and assign the elevation of the top of the geometry and then offset that feature line a little bit (0.1 feet) and assign the bottom elevation. It will create approximate vertical surface.

Thank You, I changed the surfaces a little bit, so I managed through feature lines and gradings.
