Dear all,
I had AutoCAD 2020 on my machine and recently downloaded Civil 3D 2020, which resulted in me losing my profile, etc. On top of this, when I launched vanilla AutoCAD (both through the shortcut and through run Civil 3D as AutoCAD 2020) and tried to insert the layout template in *.dwt, CAD crashed with the error as per the topic.
When loading this *.dwt, the console says the following:
Command: <Layout from Template>

I am unsure why everything is being loaded after I try to insert the template - I don't need it at all.
I am on a corporate machine, so there is little I can try without waiting a lot for the IT to resolve the issue.
Please let me know what can be done to load the *.dwt - I was able to do it when I had vanilla CAD only on my computer and checked that my colleagues can still do it.
Regards,
Gene.
Hi @Anonymous
Civil 3D as AutoCAD and vanilla AutoCAD are not equally the same instances, therefore there can be some differences in the way these apps operate.
What version was used to create that *.dwt file?
Was it created in Civil 3D or AutoCAD?
Does it contain Civil 3D Styles and Settings?
Have you tried to open *.dwt file in Civil 3D as AutoCAD and run AUDIT and PURGE commands over it? Were you able to Insert Layouts from the audited file?
Is it possible to share your *.dwt file so we can check the behavior on our end, please?
Thanks,
Wojtek
