Civil 3D 2020 Pressure Fittings and Appurtenances Invisible

Hello,

It seems that this bug is still around, and has been for the last 3? or so years. I have some users that have drawn in their pressure networks complete with Valves, Tees, Bends, Couplings, Fire Hydrants (ect) and were able to successfully view and see them. Fast forward a week or two and the objects are still in the drawings, however they are invisible, which means we cannot select on them from Plan View. We can access them through the toolspace though. I have my styles set up to use Display as catalog-defined block and that seems to be the problem here. I can go ahead and make multiple styles for multiple objects, however that does not seem to be a long term solution here.

Does anyone have a solution for this? or should I just suck it up and start creating multiple styles for ALL of the parts?

Thanks,

@Kyle-Evans ,

I see you are describing an issue where pressure pipe network parts/ appurtenances are becoming invisible or go missing.

  • What version of Civil 3D is this occurring with?
  • Is this on all files, or just a select data set?
  • Does this happen to all parts?
  • Are you using a custom pipe catalog or the default one?

Would you mind posting a file that has this issue you are describing? I would like to take a closer look at it to see if what is happening is related to any known issues or find a solution.

Hello,

I'm having the same problem of valves disappearing in the data referenced (DREF) drawings from the pressure network (not an issue is the source pressure network dwg though). I'm using the Standard style for the appurtenances and fittings. I'm using Civil 3D 2021.

thanks,

As this is still a Major Bug that has yet to be fixed (Have not confirmed on 2022 yet), I have created a youtube video on a possible fix. What happens is the block definitions for the objects purge themselves out of the drawing.
