civil 3d 2018 is so slow

i have moved from civil 3d 2015 to civil 3d 2018 but i found civil 3d 2018 is so slow, there are many lagging and importing points takes so long 

i have intel core i3 1.7 hz,4 gram, intel hd graphics family this worked with civil 3d 2015 well

I'm surprised you didn't have performance issues with 2015.

 

Most of us run i7's, and NVIDIA or AMD graphics cards.

And substantial RAM on top of that.  To be completely frank, not sure I'd even give that hardware to our receptionist....

I just finished a rebuilding of my PC.  Here are the specs.

 

i5-8600K (overclocked to 5.1 mhz) w/ Corsair IA water cooler.

32 GB DDR 4 memory

500 gb M.2 drive

(2) Quadro P4000 in SLI

 

Its a beast!!!  Sometime I feel like I need to hold onto my desk it's so fast!  It makes AutoCAD its B@#$%

Total build is about $3,500 but time is money.
