I encounter a problem with civil 3d 2018 extracting corridor solids on assemblies that have subassemblies generated from polyline. When I click on the corridor normally on 2016 version the corridor tab shows with the exctract corridor solids button(Image03), but in C3D2018 the tab shows but it is empty (Image02). When I removed the custom subassembly from the asssembly and rebuild the model the proceed to extract the solids it is working fine (Image01). Does someone knows if this is a bug or autodesk is removing this slowly from the menu. Also, when I open back my model to 2016 from 2018 it does not recognize the objects on the drawing, it is just a bunch of squares even I saved it to lower version(Image04A).

Pretty sure that the civil objects in 2018 are incompatible with earlier versions (even if you specify an earlier version in the save dialog) and you are seeing the proxygraphics box - try setting PROXYGRAPHICS to 1 in 2018 and that may at least let the proxy objects be visible in 2016.
The only way to get (most) civil objects out to an earlier version is by XML
I'd suggest not switching between versions during a project as this could cause you a major headache when the 2016 drawings have been saved in 2018.

I mean that I cannot extract corridor solids when my corridor assembly has an object (subassembly that was created from a polyline) like the photo below. "C1620 CONCRETE - RT (2)" is a subassembly created from polyline, I done it on C3D2016 and can be extracted from that version, while now I upgraded my version to 2018 cannot be able to do it anymore as you can see on previous images the corridor tab would be empty if my corridor assembly have a custom object in it.
There is a command (and there still is in 2017, possible 2018 as well) that allows you to draw a polyline representing the section shape and convert to subassembly - largely superseded by Sub Assembly Editor now I would think
