Changing contours within a TIN model surface

I have a surface in which the contours are derived from the TIN as usual.  I have been given the assignment of changing the contours so they are parallel to each other and more uniform and in line all without adjusting the TIN. I've tried using break lines but it just is not working. On the attached image the contours are to be more or less parallel with county road at the left of the image with the red cloud around it. Please advise

@caddirt ,

not how this workss.gif

Perhaps your explanation is not correct, or your understanding is limited. The contours of a surface represent the surface, therefore it is not possible to change the layout of the contours without changing the underlying surface (exceptions being: Triangle swaps, contour smoothing, and contour intervals).

So are you supposed to propose a NEW SURFACE? Or propose a GRADING SITE? These are things that you can do which will allow you to edit contours without editing the "original" surface.

Best,

~DD

Hi @caddirt    as @CodeDing  mention that contours line are represent the surface, and you said you would like to adjust each contour line to be parallel.

I have  a look on your pdf that I guess this surface are come from Definition data from each points (cross reds)

maybe you need to check your input have any 3D polylines then you can add Definition break lines into your surface as well, and then turn on TIN View, then you can Edit surface on each TINN line such as swap edge, add line, delete line ....
