Changing background color of the Text Component Editor to white; possible ?

Good evening forum !

Was wondering, is there a way to change the background color of the Text Component Editor - Contents ?

It's an eye killer to dark colors onto the black background :

Anyone knows how to do this ?

Hi @cyberflow !

The background color of the Text Component Editor is the same as your Drawing Window Colors. I use all white here! You can choose a comfortable color for the eyes. Options -> Display -> Colors.

That makes the dialog easier to use, but what if I don't want to change my screen background color?

I covered this and more in a post over at Autodesk Community Voices blog.  You might want to check it out.

Link: Civil3d: Leveraging Label Legerdemain a series ... "I Can See Clearly Now".

From The Post:

There is no setting or mechanism to control the Label Style Composer (LSC) background color.
The LSC Preview Window and Text Component Window inherit their background color from the tab that is current when the editor is invoked. The default C3D template uses a dark background for the model tab and a light background for the layout tabs.

I happen to use this convention. When I need the LSC, I pause and consider the label text color, make sure that a tab with an appropriate background color is current, then start the LSC.

Dark background (from Model tab) on the left and light background (from Layout tab) on the right:

Yes. As far as I know, there is no setting to control the Label Style Composer or the Text Component Editor background colors individually. It is a good one for the Civil 3D Ideias Forum.

I agree. Sort of ...  (I linked to this video in my blog post.)

ClearType Off helps with the visibility of SHX fonts.
You can even turn ClearType off without exiting the Label Style Composer!

The Font/Background Color issue remains. Red and Blue on dark are hard to read. Yellow on light is hard to read.

Thanx @Joe-Bouza ! I just tried a complete day of working with styles and this helped !

Your share of the Bartels video is pretty much the closest to a solution right now for this.

Was tired of killing my eyes trying to read the text !
