Catchment from surface

Hello everyone,

I'm wondering if there is an option to specify minimun area of a catchment when we execute catchment analysis of a surface ?

Best regards,

There isn't an option based on area that I know of, only about the option to merge depressions with single drain watersheds if you set a depth tolerance in the surface analysis tab.

Thanks for your response,

I tried using this option but it does not give me the desired results.

IMHO the catchment and watershed tools are too persnickety towards user input and find it much faster to draw the polyline.

That's what I have done for the moment since playing with the watersheds and catchment tools didn't gave me what I'm looking for.

Thanks

I agree with @Joe-Bouza that sometimes its just easier to create it by drawing a polyline, but sometimes I'll also use the catchment command and trim its rendition of the "drainage area" and combine several of them together as one and make modifications from that.

This is what we used to do using GlobalMapper.
