Case is changed when I import "points from file" function

Hello

I do have a big challenge and I made 2 screenshots of this.

As you see on the screenshots, I have the first letter of my code upper case but the others are lower case.

When I am finished with the import all the letters are changed to uppercase.

I have used the samme method the last 5 years without problems.

When I tried on tuesdag, it was like you see on the second screenshot. Alle the letters are upper case!

I thing this is a general adjustment but I don't know where i have to do this.

Can you please tell me, what I have to do?

Have a nice day

Best Regards

Jean-Christophe

What version of Civil 3D are you currently using? I just tested it with Civil 3D 2022.1.1, the RawDescription does not change after using ImportPoints. Upload your point file and your sample DWG here for verification. Probably only conversion to uppercase is set in point description style.

When you go to edit point label styles and move to points description text editor you can check the current text setting.

Hello Udo

Thank you for a fast answer!

I am using: 2020.3 update.

I join the 2 files, you are asking for.

Best Regards

Hello Jeew

Thank you for you reply!

Yes I know but this is not someting I ask for or changed myself.

And the changement is not on one code but for all the label styles. This is why I believe, that it is a more general setting.

Best Regards

Hello Pointdump

Thank you for your answer.

I tried to write "Textallcaps" in the commandoline, but it was off (and I assume 0)

Best Regards

Seems like the issue is due to the upper case of the label style.

I think you should check this with your template or an old drawing.

As mentioned at the beginning, your point description style contains the formatting option "CU" (=uppercase) instead of "CP".

Jean-Christophe,
Now hold on a minute. Some observations on your drawing:
1. Your All Points point group is locked. I've never seen that before.
2. Text Contents shows coding ahead of Full Description. I don't know how to decipher that.
3. I can NOT change "upper case" to "preserve case" in that label style. It won't stick.
4. If I open a brand new drawing I have no problem importing and labelling points as intended.

P.S. If Udo solved it, you should click his post as the Solution.

Hello Dave

Thanks for your answers.

1 I don't know why my pointgroup is locked and to be honest, I don't know which differents it makes for me.

2 About the text contents, i don't know neither. This is not something I found out by myself.

3 OK

4 I didn't know this one, I check it right away.

I am a field surveyor and I use civil to render my work. That's one of the reason, I am not aware about a lot of things. If you know som readings about the subject, please say so.

Happy new year and thanks again for your help.

Kind Regards
