cartogramma utility for civil 3D 2017

Hello, can anyone help me with graphical representation of volume. I calculated it with cartogramma utility and it's correct, but i can not understand, why new cartogramma utility drew it just inside my upper surface, while i put border of cartogramma to lower surface (as u can see on the screenshot).

Hello-

Volumes are only calculated where 3D terrain surface overlap exists.

yes, but i still did't understand, why representation is drawn only inside the border of upper surface. I did the same things in Civil 2014: i created two surfaces, than calculated volume through analyzyng panel, after that cartogramma utility drew it correctly, i attached 2014 screenshot also.
