Cannot Load Online Maps

Hello,

Whenever I try to use the geolocation map aerial using 2019 or 2017 I get this error message. "Cannot load online maps - the internet connection timed out or the map server is not responding.". The aerial comes in partially and it checkerboards it when I zoom in and out. I know there was a hotfix for a similar issue for 2017 awhile ago, however I downloaded that when I was still using 2017 and haven't had any issues since. As far as I know this is a different issue and that hotfix doesn't apply to 2019. Any help would be appreciated.

I mentioned about that hotfix in my post, it is a different issue. I also stated that this is happening on 2019 and there is not a hotfix for 2019 as this hasn't been an issue with 2019.

I previously have already installed the hotfix on 2017 when that issue came up. It resolved that issue then but now it is different.

You Screenshot shows you have Plex Earth. If Plex Earth will load a Google Earth Image, then that will help narrow down the problem.

Plex Earth has no issues working. Our IT Department reached out to Autodesk and they've said that there is an issue right now accessing Bing Maps Severs. Everyone in our office is having the same issue regardless of what version of Civil 3D they're using.

Our IT Department says their solution still doesn't solve the issue though.

What you can do though is "Capture" the area that you're interested in and then that capture will stay and won't need to be regen at all.

I have experienced the same issue (C3D 2026) and notice when Bing hybrid maps are selected the error as you zoom in. However, all other maps work fine at any zoom level.
