Can you create a curve with more than 2 lines in Civil 3D

Hey guys, so I'm a student just learning the basics of AutoCAD and Civ3D, and anyways I was just wondering if it's possible to create a curve using 3 lines as references. There's a member of one of my school groups that's convinced that this can be done without the fillet command, and I was just wondering if this is possible.

Thanks!

Cameron Hoglan

There are various ways you can define a curve but by 3 lines is not one of them. Perhaps he was thinking of by 3 points? Nonetheless here is a graphic showing the various ways you can define a curve from the Civil 3D Home ribbon in the Draw panel.

You can make a spline that way. Maybe your friend is using "curve" to mean "shape" or "spline". In some disciplines, any linear figure is called a curve. Most Civil 3D users hear "curve" and we think circular curve or AutoCAD arc.

Hi Cameron,

Your friend is probably referring to Circle command via Tan Tan Tan. No need for fillet and Circle is a curve as well. See attached animated gif.
