C3D How would you add dimension points on a profile

Hello everybody,

I would like to add some dimension points in my profile plan. As I see in my picture, I try to display the length / height in the textfield at the position (pink auxiliary line). Can someone help me as I can automatically give it?

best regards

Benedikt

Hi Benedikt,

They way I would approach this is to use a link in my assembly which is set via offset to surface.  Then, the link will use offset/elevation to essentially go straight down.  Then, apply a custom link ID to the sub-assembly, and use a style in your codeset to label the length of the link at each section.  Using this approach you can label hundreds of sections automatically.

If this helps, and works for you as a solution, please go ahead and mark this solved.

Thanks!
