In yet another issue with pressure networks, I've got a pressure network where I originally used 12" pipes and fittings. I needed to change the 12" to 8", so I selected each individual pipe, fitting, and appurtenance, did swap pressure part, and selected the 8" size. It worked for all but one fitting. The fitting itself was changed from 12" to 8", but I get two warnings on each end of the 90 deg bend that it's got open connections even though there are pipes attached.
I've disconnected the pipes and reattached them, but it always displays the warning no matter what. I even closed the drawing and reopened it. What's going on?
I tried the same way you did and had the same issue.
But i was able to resolve it.
1. I select the fitting and swap it again even its already swapped from 12" to 8".
2. Problem occurred when you swap the pipes from one side to another side that means when you have series of pipes and fittings everything swaps without issue and when it comes last part it will show the warning symbol hence for that segment i did swap the fitting first and pipe followed y the fitting it resolved the issue.
3. Swap the fitting where you have warning symbol and remove the pipe and re draw the pipe from fitting "+" by using option Continue layout it will resolve.
Hope this will fix the issue if not feel free to share the file for check and understand and resolve it.

Well, I've run into this same issue over a year later, but this time with C3D 2020.
I did a swap pressure part with a single 18" 45 deg MJ bend that had one 18" pipe attached to switch to a 22.5 deg bend. Same size, just swapping the angle. Now the end with the pipe (left side) is showing a warning about the Deflection Exceeded, but the values are empty (because it doesn't exceed it) and the other end gives a warning about an Open Connection (that now has a pipe attached).
The other method of swapping the parts and replacing the pipes defeats the purpose of using Swap Parts in the first place. I guess the lesson is that once again, Autodesk has another annoying C3D bug and it'll never be fixed.
Just short of 5 years later and I have the same issue happening in C3D 2025.0.1. I had an 11.25 48" bend that I swapped to a 22.5 bend and now there are warnings of open connections. I attached a pipe to one end, but the warning still exists.
Guess I was correct 4.5 years ago when I said this was going to be a bug that Autodesk never fixes. Regen, detaching, reattaching doesn't remove the warning of an open end that has a pipe connection. The only solution to remove the warning that I know of is to delete the fitting and just add a new one.
