The C3D LaneOutsideSuperLayerVaryingWidth subassembly does ot have a Datum Link. Was the Datum ommitted by mistake or was this intentional?

Solved by appending MarkedPoint and LinkToMarkedPoint subassemblies under the LaneOutsideSuperLayerVaryingWidth subassemblies (attached). But is this the best practice? Why is the UK C3D Daylight bottom link code named Formation and not Datum?
