can you give more info? you were trying to export COGO points from Civil 3D? it defaults to exporting all points unless you check the box to limit it to point groups. do you see points in the Toolspace, Prospector, Points category? did you select an empty point group? did you leave the point file format empty or to something that doesn't make sense for what you were doing? what format is the file containing the points being exported/imported in, like Pt,X,Y,Z,Code or Pt,Lat,Lon, El,Code or ???
Are you using the "Transfer points" command or the "Export points" command?
The error you are receiving seems more like an error that you would get from the transfer points command.
The transfer points command converts point files from one type to another.
attached is the message
I get this when I try to export all the points. I found a way around this by manually selecting all the points in the points "attributes field" layout. It will also allow me to export points if I select from a point group. So at least I found a way around it. but still would like to fix the problem
Pete,
Can you post your drawing?

I'm using the edit points command and still have to manually select points to export
Pete,
Posting your drawing would be good, but at least we need to see some Screenshots of the steps you are using to Export Points.

Hi I guess i have the same problem here.
i've been trying to export points which i created manually. when trying to convert these point to autocad points, it displays "invalid selection set!" and when im trying to export to data file .csv it displays "no points were tranfered from the source". i've tried changing the file format from space delimited, comma delimited or PNEZ , PNEZD still does not work.
does anyone know how to work around this problem?
Thanks.
Are you sure you are selecting Civil 3d Points and not AutoCAD or LDD points?
Are the point layers locked?
Is the Points tree in Toolspace updated/refreshed so no warning icons appear?
Are you exporting a Point Group? If so is the group populated?
Have you tried selecting the points in the toolspace and export?
