Are you sure you are even in the correct forum? Your title seems, well, "emotional" 😉

Thank you for taking an interest.
I'm at home now so maybe my message will get through.
The problem is at work. It's a powerful PC with 32 MB RAM running Civil 3D
2020 in Win 10 Pro.
When starting AutoCAD and loading a saved drawing it spends about 4 minutes
showing the little blue spinning donut, then another 4 minutes seemingly
frozen to activate the drawing. Then quitting after a save takes at least
another 4 minutes..I suspect it's the PC, not necessarily AutoCAD. Our
"IT" guy is a numbskull, so I am asking where I know the smart people are.
Yes, I have tried recovering and auditing numerous times with no reported
errors, and rebooted in between. No help there.
I use Iolo System Mechanic Pro at home, but they have nothing like that
running there.
Maybe tomorrow I will e-mail myself the drawing and try opening it here.
Thanks to Autodesk having coronated me, I have C3d 2020 on my home laptop
with 16 GB RAM.

OK, I'll ask that you get moved to the C3D forum, not here.

Ok. The usual first guesses are; Is it a network issue?, have you cleaned out your TEMP folder?, have you tried opening and saving on another computer in the office?, if someone else logs onto your computer do you still have the problem?.

You could try Reset Settings to Default.

Baring other information. I'd guess at a network issue.
