Associating data shortcut to current drawing, "none" option grayed out

Consistently getting the message that the drawing cannot find the shortcut. I tried to remove it by right-clicking the shortcut, and hi-lighting the "associate project to current drawing", but the "none" option on the pull-down is grayed out.

Any suggestions on what could be the problem?

Thank you

Make sure your working folder is set correctly.  First set the working folder, then associate project to current drawing, then create Data Shortcuts.

Making sure that you have a project associated is important, when this is done it will show in the title of the drawing with the project in brackets.
