Annotative text not visible in viewport

Is there a reason my annotative Mtext is not visible in my viewport? The only way I can get it to show up is if I make it non-annotative, which defeats the purpose.

You have to make sure your annotative object has the proper Annotative Scale attached to it. Right click -> Annotation Scales. The list should contain the scale you are using in your viewport.

You may also want to check into ANNOAUTOSCALE.

Make sure Annotation Visibility is turned on. It should be an icon in the lower right corner of your screen in paper space.
