All Pipes and Structures Missing from Data Shortcut Reference

Hi everybody! Our team has been having a strange issue recently where all of our data-referenced pipes and structures sometimes disappear from the drawing that they are data-referenced into. We're all running Civil 3d 2024. In the destination drawing, the pipe network drop-down shows that there is still a data reference in the drawing, but all of the pipes and structures from the source drawing are missing in the destination drawing. See the below screenshots for reference. Has anyone else had a similar problem and figured out a solution? We can get the pipes to come back by recreating the data references, but we'd prefer to not do this since this causes all labels to disappear from the pipes and structures.

We're also having another minor problem where sometimes created data shortcut project folders are not listed in the working folder unless we change the working folder and then change it back to the correct folder. Maybe this issue is related to the pipes disappearing?

That's weird.

You could try to run the command "_AECFORCESYNCHRONIZEREFERENCES" in the host-drawing, sometimes it helps.

How is your Data Shortcut Working folder setup?  Do you set this to each project folder or do you have one folder it is always set to?

We have all of our data shortcuts in one large working folder (this is approximately 400 projects) shown below:

I was fortunately able to restore the problem file from a backup I had and fix the issue, but I'm keeping this topic open in case this happens again. We still have the issue with the new projects not appearing in the list unless we change the working folder and change it back.

Our situation is somewhat the same.  In our case, we make our z:\ drive the working folder and it stays that way.  The z:\ drive is where all of our projects are stored.  We have a template project which has every possible folder in it that we start all projects with, and in that is our _shortcuts folder.  This way, when our secretary starts a new project, the Data Shortcut folder is there and ready to use, however, we do have to reset the working folder once in a while in order for newer projects to show up in the Project Folder location when we run the Set Data Shortcuts Project Folder command.
