Alignment table

I need to create a table to describe my alignments for the survey control sheet in my project. In Land Desktop we could use the Report tool in the Alignment Editer to generate a text file. I've looked at the preconfigured Station and Curve report in the C3D Reports toolbox but I don't like the format of the output, nor do I know how to edit it to get what I want.

What other options do we have for describing alignments?

Neil,

Not sure what format your after but an alignment segment and curve table can be created like the example screen shot in This thread.

I'm looking at the table option but it is not my ideal. I do like the Land Desktop format with the lines and curves compiled in a single table. If I could modify the default report it would be closer to what I want.

I'll put this aside and work on other aspects of the documents in case a better solution comes along.

Thanks for the suggestion Jay. The links will be helpful if I end up going that route.

Line curve tables are no good?

It's not my ideal. The default report is closer to what I want but it needs some tweaking.

I should mention what I like about the report vs line and curve tables is the report lists the lines and curves in sequence which is easier to follow. Also I don't have to label the lines and curves with tags since the entire alignment is listed in context. Too it provides the tangent data both from PI to PI and also between curves.

You could edit the alignment geometry, view the geometry Grid View, Select All, paste into Excel, delete the columns you don't need, link that back to an Autocad table.
