Alignment Offset with different radius for curves

Hey, Im a bit stuck here at alignments for a corridor.

I need an offset alignment and profile with a different radius then the original.

In the picture, the original alignment with the R17.5 needs a dynamically offset by 2.5m to the left with a R45 between the tangents instead.

Screenshot 2025-09-24 100330.png

Things Ive tried:

- Create Connected Alignment, needs 2 seperate Alignments to work
- Create Alignment from existing Alignment, then select copy and original for Connected Alignment.
Error "Two seperate alignemnts must be selected" remains
- Create Parrallel Alignment, then converting it to static geometry and change the radius, this creates the correct alignment but messes up the profile offset from the original (because profile wont offset dynamically)
- Create a copy from original alignment, then select copy and original for Connected Alignment.
Error "Two seperate alignemnts must be selected" remains

The only way I can think of is to create a new alignment along at least of the tangents at the radius with matching profile. Then use connected Alignment between the original and the new (similar) one. But this seems unnececary complicated, so I thought there must be a better way. Any ideas? Help's much appreciated 😃

Yeah, the easy way to do this would be if offset alignments let you make a change to the radius like you want, but that's unfortunately not possible.

I haven't tried it, but the only way I can see this working is for your main alignment to start as 2 different alignments (tangents only) with the 17.5R being a connected alignment between them, and then doing 2 separate offset alignments (and profiles) from your first two tangent alignments, and another connected alignment between those at the 45R.  It would keep all the correct relationships between the tangent offsets, and you would just have to create and tweak the connected profiles to be what you wanted.

Hi @guelay5HNKZ

Till now is not possible.

What do it do? I create it as offset alignment and then i remove the dynamic property to be able to edit the curves.

Obviously, you have to edit manual the offset profile (in case you need also the offset elevations).

That is the whole point of an offset alignment, to be offset from the original, changing the radius makes it no longer offset.  A Widening wont give you what you want, it isnt capable of offsetting varying distances you would need for a curve of a separate radius.  The only option I see as well is to set the Offset Alignment to static and then remove the offset curve and add a new one.
