Well, I posted a video for better understanding, but I'm not sure if it will post. So, to better explain. . .
I've got an alignment in a drawing that is being shortcutted into another drawing. In the alignment drawing there was a mask on the alignment. It has since been removed. However, when the reference is synchronized the mask will not go away. I cannot figure out why the mask remains. Any ideas?
Try going to the Mange tab on the ribbon and select Mange Data Shortcuts (command: _AeccManageDataShortcuts) and select the alignment under Drawing Objects and also on Data Shortcuts and then select the button at the top between the two sides to relink them.
I had to use the same procedure to get my masks to work.
This is in a bunch of freshly created drawings. After shortcutting the alignment, I added masks in the source drawing. But the masks refused to synchronize (into five different host drawings). When I opened the Manage Data Shortcuts box, the alignments acted like they were already connected. But I clicked the button anyway, and it worked. Alignments are now masked.
