Alignment & Profile Synchronization

Anonymous
Not applicable

I am using Civil 3d 2014, and having data referencing problems.  I have seperate drawings for alignments, profiles, and modeling.  I created an alignment, and profile, along with data shortcuts.  If i data shortcut the alignment into a drawing, then change the alignment, the alignment synchronizes just the way is supposed to.

If i data shortcut the alignment along with the profile, and make a change to the alignment, then it doesn't sync.

Anyone else having this issue, or have a fix?

What version are you using? Have not seen that issue.

I assume you mean the DRefs aren't synchronizing and not the parent drawing.

Are you syncronizing the alignment in prospector or using the global synchronization from the status pop up?

Sometimes there are things that cause DRef'd profiles to become static, make sure the DRef'd profile is still dynamic.

I am using Civil 3d 2014. I am referring to the alignment not sync'ing correctly. I have had the profile not sync, and fixed it. The alignment when i sync globally or in the prospector remains the same, as if no edits were made.

Verify that both the Alignment and Profile are dynamic.

Verify that both of the source paths are correct.

Verify that the Alignment and Profile have not been promoted into the current DWG.

If all these are correct I am out of ideas.
