C3D 2018, win7

AeccDbPointGroup

Can someone point me to documentation and/or examples about what this is? I have a dwg by others. When I select a point there is a properties called AeccDbPointGroup. In it there is a lot of data that looks like it was customized. I'm interested in possibly populating the data fields on point import if I know what this is and how to customize to our organizational needs.

thanks

See attached 2018 C3D dwg to see what I mean. Open the Properties box and grab a cogo point, and there is a new category, AeccDbPointGroup

I am in the process of finalizing our template dwg. Much of our work ends up in the GIS. If we could populate data fields and then extract them through shape files or whatever, that would be good.

I know we can use Map, but Map and C3D don't always translate well between themselves. And all of our work starts in C3D.

That is a User Defined Property Classification, and all the entries are User Defined Properties.

To get UDP's into a SHP file, we added the SPCogoPtsToSHP tool to the Sincpac-C3D package.

Thanks for the reply, Jeff.

Sounds like your routine would work for what we want to do if we set up the UDP to reflect our GIS attribute fields.

Can you point me to a resource that described creating UDP's?
