AECC COGO POINTS

AECC COGO POINTS

Up until about a week ago, I have been able to select points and then modify attributes (Northing, Easting, Elevations, etc..) in the properties dialog box. Currently the attributes are blank, do not display, nada.  Is there a setting or variable that is not set correctly? How do I fix this issue?

Maybe it could be <<<This>>>.

Thank you Pointdump,

I had already tried unlocking and then updating and refreshing the points without any change.

See Image below, I am attempting to attach a screenshot.  This is frustrating.

Dear Friend,

These points seem to autocad points or land desktop points. Not cogo points.

Hope this will help you.

Jeew-M,

That doesn't seem to be the issue either.

Thank you.

Hello-

@Jeew-m is correct.  You have selected a legacy soft desk or LDD point in the pic you shared.  Simply go to your Home tab\Points drop down and select convert softdesk points.  Once you perform this conversion to Civil 3D COGO points, you will be able to edit them in the Properties window.

I hope this helps.

Mr. Carlson,

These were imported from a csv file in to Civil3d 2018. I have tried to convert from LDD, Softdesk, and AutoCAD points with the reply "invalid selection set."  I am curious as to why/how Civil3d would import to a legacy format? I appreciate your help.

hmmm....this is strange.  Have you installed latest 2018 Service Pack?

Another option.  Create a Survey Database and create new Import Survey Event.  Import the point file into the Survey Database and insert into the drawing.  These points will be locked in the dwg, but at least you can edit them in the Survey Database followed by a point update, so the point changes are shown the dwg.

I hope this helps.

Please find them attached. FYI this is happening in every drawing, it is not isolated.

I can't see anything wrong here. Everything OK for me. can change the attributes. Even can load the csv and make edits.

Thank you everyone. I believe I have it figured out. One of the updates, I think an object enabler, actually caused the issue. I have uninstalled a couple of them and I am back to normal. Once I figure out which one it was I will post.

Is it possible the points were imported over old points. An AECC COGO POINT is definitely not a current point object, unless things have changed in 2018. We're still on 2017. I couldn't check the drawing because of that.

Please reply back once you figure out which object enabler you had to uninstall because I didn't see any issue with the points in your drawing. The points in the drawing matched the points in your .csv points file.
